Booking terms & policies
At Jordy’s Photography, I value transparency and want to ensure all clients understand the terms that apply to their bookings. Please review the following policies before confirming your session.
Privacy Policy

At Jordy Photography, your privacy matters. We collect limited personal details (such as your name, contact info, and booking/payment details) to provide our services and deliver your images.
We may use your photos for our website, portfolio, or social media only with your consent. All images remain the copyright of Jordy Photography, but you are granted personal use rights for delivered images.
Your information is never sold or rented. It may be shared with trusted third parties (e.g., for secure payments, online galleries) or as required by law.
We take steps to keep your data secure, and you may request access, updates, or withdraw consent for marketing use at any time.

Travel Policy
- Jordy’s Photography offers shoots within Mackay and surrounding areas (30km radius of Mackay CBD) at no extra cost.
- For travel outside of this 30km radius, an additional fee of $1 per kilometre applies.
- Travel and accommodation for long-distance events (if required) will be discussed and agreed upon before booking confirmation.
Copyright & usage policy
- All photographs taken by Jordy’s Photography remain the intellectual property and copyright of Jordy’s Photography in accordance with Australian copyright law.
- Clients are granted a non-exclusive, personal-use license once final payment is made. This includes:
- Sharing images on personal social media accounts (with credit to Jordy’s Photography when possible).
- Printing images for personal use, albums, or gifts.
- Displaying images in non-commercial settings.
- Clients may not sell, edit heavily, alter, license, or commercially exploit the images without prior written consent from Jordy’s Photography.
- Jordy’s Photography reserves the right to use images for portfolio, website, and promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing with the Client.
Image Delivery Policy
- Clients will receive a full album of unedited JPG photos and a set of professionally edited images as outlined in their package.
- Final edited images will be delivered within 2–3 weeks of the shoot date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Delivery will be made through a secure online gallery link.
- RAW or unedited files are not provided under any circumstances, as they do not represent the final artistic standard of Jordy’s Photography.
- Clients are responsible for downloading and backing up their images once delivered. Jordy’s Photography will retain images for a minimum of 6 months but cannot guarantee storage beyond that period.
Deposit Policy
- A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking and signing the contract to secure your session date.
- The deposit is applied towards the total cost of your chosen photography package.
- Bookings are not considered confirmed until the deposit has been received.
- The remaining 50% balance must be paid no later than the agreed final due date (or on the day of the shoot, if specified in the contract).
- Deposits are subject to the conditions set out in the Cancellation Policy:
- Deposits are non-refundable if cancellation occurs within 24 hours of the scheduled shoot.
- Deposits are refundable if cancellation occurs more than 24 hours before the scheduled shoot.
Rescheduling Policy
Client Rescheduling:
- Clients may reschedule their session once without penalty if written notice is given at least 48 hours before the scheduled shoot.
- Rescheduling requests made within 24 hours of the session will be treated as a cancellation and subject to the Cancellation Policy.
- Additional rescheduling beyond one change may incur a $50 administration fee.
Photographer Rescheduling:
- If Jordy’s Photography needs to reschedule due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances, the Client will be offered the earliest possible alternative date at no additional cost.
- If a reschedule is not possible, the Client will receive a full refund of all monies paid, including the deposit.
Cancellation Policy
Client Cancellation:
- If a Client cancels their booking within 24 hours of the scheduled shoot, the deposit/retainer is non-refundable.
- If a Client cancels more than 24 hours before the scheduled shoot, the Client will receive a full refund of the deposit/retainer paid.
Photographer Cancellation:
- In the unlikely event Jordy’s Photography must cancel the session and cannot provide a replacement photographer, the Client will receive a full refund of all monies paid, including the deposit.
- If the Photographer must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances (illness, emergency, force majeure), every effort will be made to reschedule at a mutually agreed date at no additional cost to the Client.
How to Cancel: All cancellations must be made in writing via email to jordypphotography@gmail.com.
Refund Policy
- Deposits/Retainers: Refunds follow the terms outlined in the Cancellation Policy above.
- Completed Sessions: Once a session has been completed and images have been delivered, no refunds will be issued.
- Service Issues: If unforeseen circumstances prevent Jordy’s Photography from completing the booked service (and no reschedule or replacement can be agreed upon), a full refund of all fees paid (including deposit/retainer) will be issued.
- Client Dissatisfaction: Artistic style and quality are consistent with Jordy’s Photography’s portfolio. Refunds will not be granted due to differences in personal taste or creative preference.
